Navteq creates and maintains a highly dynamic database. The database contains all street names and ranges of addresses for urban areas, as well as over 1,500,000 points of interest both in North America and Europe, organized under convenient categories. Digital maps are updated on a regular basis. Navteq captures its primary information from direct field collection and third-party sources, providing accurate and constantly improved information. HumanWare provides a yearly upgrade.
