Behind Access Ingenuity is a team of experienced and committed staff. Our team has extensive experience in assistive technology, as well as a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Michael Parker, Director: Michael Parker has more than a decade of experience working in the assistive technology field. He has developed products for the visually impaired as well as implemented access solutions for people with disabilities in many different settings - from individuals to employment centers, libraries, hospitals, and universities. Michael has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and has presented on the use of assistive technology and ergonomics at a number of national conferences, including CSUN’s Conference on Disability and employmentACCESS. Michael is an avid runner and is married with two children.

Mark Stimson, Assistive Technology Specialist: Mark Stimson grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and got his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Psychology from Central Michigan University followed by his Doctorate in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Georgia. Mark joined Access Ingenuity to continue working with clients with disabilities. "Work is maybe the most important thing in life," Mark says. "It's where you connect to people. Putting people back to work puts them back in the world."

Jeremy Hartley, Trainer: Jeremy has been using assistive technology for over 17 years, starting with the original Kurzweil Reading Machine. Technology has changed significantly since then and Jeremy has become an expert trainer. His primary role with Access Ingenuity is to work with clients who are using screen readers, notetakers and Braille displays. Jeremy is also a musician and song writer and lives with his pet parrot of no name!

Kim Rose-Gonzales, Customer Service/Administrative Coordinator: Kim’s diverse skills in office administration, customer service, and accounting make her an excellent addition to our team. When you call Access Ingenuity, chances are she will be the one to field your call and give you the customer service you are looking for. Kim is also working towards attaining her degree while juggling her many responsibilities both in and out of the office. Kim was raised in Indiana then moved to Northern California with her family in 2002.

Tony Compton, Assistive Technology Sales Associate: Tony Compton is a native of the Bay Area. He began using a computer with large print and voice output in 1991. After several years of education and computer training as a client of the Department of Rehabilitation he wanted to work in the field of Assistive Technology. Since assistive technology has allowed him to become more independent he has made it his goal to share this information with others.

Ed Sutter, Low Vision Specialist: Ed a former high school teacher has spent many years helping both students and seniors regain their independence through the latest low vision technology. He has also had many years of diverse sales experience and knows that this industry, above all, requires dedication, perseverance, and patience. Ed and his partner Peggy have four children and seven grandchildren.

Ian Ramos, Computer Support Specialist: Ian had over 8 years of computer support experience both in a professional and personal atmosphere. He enjoys working with computers and technology in general. He always does his best to help educate others in computer use while at the same time getting them comfortable with using vital technology. Ian believes customer service is a key aspect of business and looks forward to bringing his customer service skills to the work environment. Ian is a recent graduate of Sonoma State University, has two boys, and a wonderful wife.
