Behind Access Ingenuity is a team of experienced and committed staff. Our team has extensive experience in assistive technology, as well as a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Michael Parker, Director: Michael Parker has more than a decade of experience working in the assistive technology field. He has developed products for the visually impaired as well as implemented access solutions for people with disabilities in many different settings - from individuals to employment centers, libraries, hospitals, and universities. Michael has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and has presented on the use of assistive technology and ergonomics at a number of national conferences, including CSUN’s Conference on Disability and employmentACCESS. Michael is an avid runner and is married with two children.

Jeremy Hartley, Trainer: Jeremy has been using assistive technology for over 17 years, starting with the original Kurzweil Reading Machine. Technology has changed significantly since then and Jeremy has become an expert trainer. His primary role with Access Ingenuity is to work with clients who are using screen readers, notetakers and Braille displays. Jeremy is also a musician and song writer and lives with his pet parrot of no name!

Elizabeth Enright, Customer Service Sales Specialist: Elizabeth brings an extensive background in customer service and training. She especially enjoys helping people and learning new things and is looking forward to applying her skills and background to the assistive technology field. Elizabeth is a native of the Bay Area and is an avid walker and horse enthusiast.

Ian Ramos, Assistive Technology Specialist: Ian has over 8 years of computer support experience both in a professional and personal atmosphere. He enjoys working with computers and technology in general. He always does his best to help educate others in computer use while at the same time getting them comfortable with using vital technology. Ian believes customer service is a key aspect of business and looks forward to bringing his customer service skills to the work environment. Ian is a recent graduate of Sonoma State University, has two boys, and a wonderful wife.

Andrea Pitsenbarger, Assistive Technology Specialist: Andrea Pitsenbarger grew up in Los Gatos, in northern California, but has lived in southern California for the past 27 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Santa Clara, and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the American Behavioral Studies Institute. A lifelong Braille reader and enthusiast, Andrea has been using Assistive Technology since 1994, beginning with the Braille and Speak from Blazie Engineering. Andrea has been teaching others to use Assistive Technology since 2004. Andrea’s role at Access Ingenuity involves training and support for a wide variety of equipment, as well as community outreach and product demonstrations. Andrea considers herself a people person, and enjoys the high level of personal interaction afforded by her position with the company. She lives with her husband and enjoys reading and playing with her two cats.

Kathy Burton, Assistive Technology Specialist: Kathy Burton has been training adults to use computers and assistive technology since 1990 for various organizations in Northern California. She has a bachelors degree in communicative disorders/audiology from Fresno State University, an elementary teaching credential from Humboldt State University and a masters degree in special education/visual impairment from San Francisco State University. She finds satisfaction helping adults who are new to computers and assistive technology to overcome their apprehensions and fears. Kathy has lived in Northern California for over 25 years and she enjoys traveling, taking long walks, knitting and spending time with her five grandchildren.
